Deer Lake Charlie's

Thanks to all for a wonder filled and fun season 2023!!!

We started a bit slow with all the cold spring weather, moved into hot summer weather and then we added a new record bug hatch to the process.  Many of our SxS's and other UTV and ATV patrons had to become tough and determined to go out into the woods!  They were and they did go out, and followed all trails to Deer Lake Charlies!!

Jug  Band competition was EPIC! We had more musicians participate than ever before.  Many stayed in our tent sites and rv sites which provided close proximity for them and a special treat for us as we had access to all the rehearsals and personalities.  We have pictures and more information on all participants under our 'Events and News' section of this site.

Gail and I (SuZanne) continued with our improvements to the property.  We painted, sealed, built and tore down different areas of the barn.  Potty's were moved to allow for more privacy and cooler temps, the failing back porch was removed and plans to replace it with a patio  for all smokers are being considered.  Flowers and gardens were started and re-established. New gardens are planned for next spring with friends and neighbors contributing perennials to add personal touches and memory gardens to the property.  With the loss of Alvin Jensen and Vern Jensen this year, both families have contributed items to commemorate them. We offer our heartfelt condolences to these families and other community members families and friends that have endured losses this year.

We are so very thankful to all of our patrons, friends and family that help us continue in our tradition at DLC each and every year!  Special thanks to those hands on folks: Mark Elliott, Chad and Heather Lovedahl, Brad and Connie Lovedahl, Ron and Marcia Root, Vicki and Denny Hill, Audrey and Jim, Rita, Carla and Kate, and all the others who give time and effort to the cause!  2023 was a successful season because of all of you!
