Perched along State highway 1 between Effie and Togo, Deer Lake Charlie's is located in one of northern Minnesota's most beautiful areas. There are several lake with in 5 miles of our RV Sites and Tavern. Bring the boat and stop for a Beer!! We are an old fashioned set-up bar; Bring your favorite Bottle of Booze and we will provide the rest!

We welcome 2025 and a new season at Deerlake Charlie's!! You have selected as the best Dive Bar in Minnesota and we proudly accept the designation and hope you come on by this year for a cold beer!
We have certainly had a warm and wonder filled spring here at DLC. From temps in the 90's to frost warnings and wind. But things are straightening out and we are up and running.
Gail and SuZanne have been booking events and making plans for a great 2025 season. We have weddings, family reunions and a celebrations of life on our calendars. We are so honored that our customers and neighbors continue to choose us for their gatherings. We have booked bands for the season and and will post updates soon.
Merchandise is ordered and our new hats are selling fast! We plan or releasing some retro shirts from the Boogie Days this year. Stay tuned for updates.
Our Jug Band competition will fall on Sunday September 9th. Last years turnout was the best we have ever had with more talented musicians in full costumes competing! If you have never participated and would like to do so, please contact us for sign ups. ANY AND ALL BANDS ARE ENCOURAGED!!
